Transport licence
Carrying goods for hire or reward requires a Community licence. We help you meet all the requirements — from share capital to a transport manager — and prepare the documents for the Lithuanian Transport Safety Administration.
What you need to get a licence
The licence is issued to a company that proves financial standing, has an operating centre and a certified transport manager. We can provide any missing element.
- Financial standing: EUR 9,000 for the first vehicle and EUR 5,000 for each additional one (over 3.5 t) — we increase the share capital
- An operating centre — the registered office where documents are kept; if you have none, we provide one
- A certified transport manager — if you have none, we propose one
- Good repute of the manager and the transport manager

From 2.5 tonnes — already required
Since 21 May 2022 a licence is also mandatory for international carriage of goods with vehicles of a maximum permissible mass between 2.5 and 3.5 t. Those carrying goods only within Lithuania with such vehicles do not need a licence.
Financial standing for light vehicles (2.5–3.5 t)
- At least EUR 1,800 for the first vehicle
- EUR 900 for each additional vehicle
