Providing data in the enquiry form is not mandatory, but without contact details we will not be able to reply to you.
When we process the data of our clients’ employees, suppliers or customers (for example, when running payroll or preparing employment documents), we act as a data processor under the contract concluded with the client — in that case the client is the data controller and we process the data only on its instructions.
We do not send direct marketing messages unless you have given separate consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Where we obtain data from
- directly from you — when you fill in the form, write, call or meet us;
- from the company you represent, when it is our client;
- from public registers and state institutions (the Centre of Registers, the State Tax Inspectorate, Sodra) when this is necessary to provide the services;
- from website technologies — cookies and server logs.
5. Who we share data with
We share data only to the extent necessary with the following recipients:
- IT service providers — providers of website hosting, e-mail, accounting and document management software acting under data processing agreements concluded with us;
- state institutions — the State Tax Inspectorate, Sodra, the Centre of Registers, the Migration Department, the Employment Service and others, when we provide services on your instructions or when required by law;
- notaries, banks, auditors, lawyers — when needed for a specific service (e.g. company formation);
- courts and law enforcement authorities — in cases provided for by law.
We process data within the European Economic Area. If the services we use (e.g. Google statistics or map tools) transfer data outside it, this is done only on the basis of a European Commission adequacy decision (e.g. the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses.
6. Data retention periods
| Data | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that did not result in a contract | 1 year from the last correspondence |
| Contracts and related correspondence | 10 years from the end of the contract |
| Accounting documents | For the periods set by law (usually 10 years) |
| Client identification data under anti-money laundering requirements | 8 years from the end of the business relationship |
| Server logs | Up to 3 months |
| Cookies | See the table in section 9 |
| Your cookie choice | 12 months |
When the period expires, we delete or anonymise the data. We keep it longer only when necessary to resolve a dispute or claim.
7. How we protect data
We apply technical and organisational security measures: the website is accessible only over an encrypted HTTPS connection, access to data is granted only to employees who need it for their duties, employees and suppliers are bound by confidentiality obligations, and backups are made regularly. In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify the State Data Protection Inspectorate and, where required by law, you.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data and receive a copy of it;
- request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request the erasure of data (“right to be forgotten”) when it is no longer needed or is processed unlawfully;
- restrict the processing of data;
- receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format and transfer it to another controller;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- withdraw your consent at any time — this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal;
- lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate (L. Sapiegos g. 17, LT-10312 Vilnius, ada@ada.lt, vdai.lrv.lt).
Please submit your request by e-mail to info@juristik.lt. To protect data from unauthorised disclosure, we may ask you to confirm your identity. We reply within one month at the latest; in complex cases we may extend this period by two further months, after informing you.
